On October 17 2014 The Association of Parks in Bulgaria started its work on the “For More Efficient Civic Nature Protection: Training in Green Advocacy” project. The activities will be held in the next 12 months and are comprised of:
- Elaboration of a Handbook of advocacy for environmental protection
- Enriching the database of the Protected Areas Archive www.ekoarhiv.bg by new document funds, fostering green advocacy
- Four 2-day trainings in Sofia, Plovdov, Varna and Gabrovo for NGO, civic activist groups and youth on advocacy for environmental protection
- Promotion of the project’s aim and the outcomes of the efforts made for building capacity in green advocacy via:
4.1. Presentation of the developed Handbook and announcing the schedule for the trainings;
4.2. Exhibition of archive documents acquired with new document funds and a discussion on their significance for concrete cases of green advocacy in Bulgaria.
The project is has a total budget of 19990.88 euro and is funded by the NGO Programme in Bulgaria under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 www.ngogrants.bg
